This is the second time that I’ve used Mike and the Use Your Space team for a house renovation. They are a great team to work with - Mike and all the lads are friendly, polite and courteous. You’re kept informed all the way through the build of progress and any issues. Mike is really responsive and always replies to messages - and pops round as and when needed. The building work has been done to a high quality - we are delighted with the result AND the lads cleaned everything thoroughly (inside and out) when they left … and completed the snagging list with zero chasing! Overall we’re delighted and wouldn’t hesitate to use Use Your Space again.

UYS has done a large rear extension to garden on our property including structural alterations to existing building to maximise space.UYS has done it with perfection and with a wow effect. I believe UYS are one of the best builders and I think that going with UYS was our most important and best decision.Use Your Space are an excellent builders, Premium quality of build, materials, service and support that too at fair price. Specially when this market in UK is so much crowded with all sorts of builders from shabby to extremely expensive ones, UYS in our opinion are right choice.Mike gave us very detailed, very fairy priced and transparent quote for our rear extension which was respected till the project finish. Mike's USP has been honesty in quotation and throughout the execution. Even though the prices of materials, steel etc. skyrocketed due to corona in the industry, Mike kept us insulated from all these respecting his quote which I don't think any other builder would have done.UYS started works on start date as promised. Extension works were finished in reasonable time as promised at quotation stage. Each day they were on site on time around 7:30 to 8:00. Every one on site were well informed, co-operative, respectful and lovely guys which was very important as the works were happening alongside us living in the house. Every day they would leave the site clean and sorted.Mike's planning i.e. ordering, delivery, installation is spot on. All material were delivered at right time, well taken care off. Mike gets in details of each build item and ensures that work is done to correct standards and quality.UYS ensured that all aspects of building regulations drawings from Architect were followed. UYS quality of build and selection of materials is excellent. They didn't select cheap suppliers/materials. Every material on our extension was branded. For example, I have seen some builders using rusted steel beams etc. but UYS used painted, proprietary TATA steel beams. It was same across every other materials as well used such as windows, doors, rooflights etc. Each and every tradesman employed by UYS (Electrician, Plumber, Plasterer, roofer, etc.) were very good at their jobs and co-ordinated very well amongst each other.We had few snags which were resolved by Mike even after completion and all payment. This is something that stands out and a big cheers to UYS's on this front. Even our neighbours were impressed with UYS's work and ethics throughout and after completion.Overall, we are very happy and proud of our decision to go with UYS and would definitely recommend to anyone for their extension. Just be patient as the work commences.Mike in my opinion is a gem of person and a fantastic dependable builder.

Embarking on an extension requires a huge amount of trust in the team you have appointed to do the job!I am delighted to say that we are really pleased with our new extension - the design is far more creative than we could have hoped, it absolutely makes the best use of our space, and has completely changed our lifestyle. The kitchen is now the hub of our house and we virtually live in it most of the time. Mike and the team worked to a planned schedule and were very tidy and polite - no unwanted surprises! We would highly recommend Mike and the team and would definitely approach him again for any other projects we are planning in the future.

Having had building works carried out previously, Mike and UYS' approach to Customer Service is a breath of fresh air, going above and beyond expectations of a building company.Mike was responsive to our initial enquiry for a quote for a Dormer Extension, knowledgable and friendly whilst quoting and not pushy at all in his approach. He clearly runs his business with complete professionalism, where you as the customer feel important and valued. Little things like a what's app group where you receive daily updates with photos and have the ability to text (and get responses) throughout the entire build process are not only reassuring but also really helpful. Being kept up to date and informed at every step is something that goes without saying with UYS - not the norm with other building companies, speaking from experience!Russ and Josh, that we had working at our house were polite, friendly, hard working and most importantly, respectful and tidy, throughout the whole process.We are over the moon with the Dormer and En Suite that UYS have created for us - we would highly recommend them.

Fist class service from Mike and the team. Used them to remove a chimney brest in our main bedroom, which is a messy job. The team kept the place spotless during the removal. Full room was re-plastered and new lighting installed. No overrun on the duration on the works. Competitive price. will be looking to use the company for our next project

Excellent from start to finish. Mike and his team at UYS converted half of my garage into a home office. Probably not their biggest job but one that will make a big difference to me. When I first met Mike, he came across as professional, knowledgeable, keen and trustworthy and he and his team lived up to every commitment they made. First contact to completion took less than 8 weeks, work was completed to a high quality and in a considerate manner and everyone who I met was friendly, hard working and committed and delivered high quality work. In addition, Mike responded promptly and fully to every question I had throughout the process. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again and would highly recommend.

Excellent from start to finish. Mike and team converted my garage into a home office. Probably not their biggest job but one that I will really benefit from. Mike and his team at UYS were excellent. The quote was detailed and clear and communication through a bespoke what’s app group was really easy and quick. When we ran into some unavoidable problems with ground works, Mike quickly came up with a clearly costed solution. His team are polite conscientious and personable. The work was of good quality and we are very satisfied with our new extension.

We hired Use Your Space to do attic conversionThis was quite a big job including fitting new steels, dormer roof, new bathroom, reconfiguring first floor to fit new staircase.Mike and all his team carried out the job to a very high standard and did so in a very professional manner.They were also always patient and accommodating to last minute requests which had not been anticipated for which I am very thankful.I am very glad we chose Use Your Space and would happily recommend them.Looking forward to getting them back for next project!

From the very start when my Husband and I met with Mike and his team we got an instant feeling of trust and reassurance that we were in safe hands a real professional touch even to the small things like branded vehicles and arriving dressed in smart clothing. Not only can a home renovation project be stressful and costly but it can also go terribly wrong in the wrong hands. However, with Mike and his Team of trusted tradesmen we had our work started and finished to an exceptional standard. All of the tradesmen he employs are people who he would have in his own home. He answers his phone and comes back on messages promptly which is a refreshing change to other tradesmen who are a complete opposite. Mike and his team are genuinely knowledgeable and really did go above and beyond and respected our family and home throughout the entirety of the renovation and I simply cannot thank them all enough. Mike and Co. are amazing people. Haven't used them for building jobs but on the first day of lockdown they helped me out massively. I was broken into, had my car stolen and was unable to get to work as a nurse for the NHS. I needed my garden gate securing which was damaged durjng the break in. They came to do this little job for me, which is a job i beleive they dont normally do, as a final job before Mike's business was closing during the COVID-19 crisis. They maintained safety and social distancing and even though I offered, would not accept payment. This was so appreciated, shows what lovely, genuine people we still have in this world, amazing and would highly recommend them all. Thanks again!! 👍👍

Mike impressed us from the start with his knowledge upon quoting. The single storey extension was carried out with few issues and now provides a lovely space for myself and my family. We did have a few snagging issues post completion but Mike has come back and fixed these to our satisfaction

We have now used UYS twice, first for our loft conversion in 2018 and more recently they extended our kitchen to create a living area. They were so helpful at the planning stage, talking through ideas and putting us in touch with an architect who created the drawings ready to submit to planning. Throughout the jobs, Mike and his team made the process as easy as possible and completed within the time frame given. Any requests we had, were never an issue and Mike was always very clear on costings before any changes were made. Both extensions are better than we could have ever imagined and we are so pleased with the quality of the finish. The extensions have had such a positive impact to the way we live in our home.Thanks to everyone at UYS.

Everyone was polite, friendly, hard working and cleaned up after each day.

If anyone wants a loft conversion or extension, I would thoroughly recommend Mike and UYS – their professionalism is very impressive and the finished product is top notch.

His project manager Mick kept the job flowing and obviously had a fantastic relationship with all the teams and subbies. There was always somebody on site at 730 which my retired neighbour commented on. Everyone was polite and always cleaned up where possible.

The quality of work is fantastic and we found very few snags. The snags we found were dealt with in a timely manner.

Although having building work going on can be stressful, UYS made things less painful. They offered advice and recommendations. The payment structure and way they manage variations brings comfort financially too.

From running an electrical business I have worked with them on many jobs and have good communication throughout which is vital for them to run smoothly. Mike and his team have been amazing. Started work on a wrap around extension and whole house refurb 3 years ago which was complete in 6 months. The team worked tirelessly to complete in time for my mother to move in. 3 years down the line we are still delighted with the excellent finish and Mike and team are still on hand if we need them as we adapt our home to accommodate my aging mother. So helpful, caring and friendly. A team you can really trust.

Mike and his team are just nearing completion of an amazing project on our house. Their attitude to work is fantastic. The speed and quality of build has been brilliant. Mike has kept us really well informed all the way though and the app he uses to manage the project is fab.
